I am a clinical psychologist working in women’s mental health, with a focus on perinatal mental health and the peri/menopause transition. I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals through the unique challenges that arise during these pivotal times. My work involves helping people navigate difficulties related to fertility, pregnancy, loss, and perinatal trauma, as well as managing anxiety, depression, and the complexities of life transitions. Whether it’s adjusting to parenthood or finding balance and meaning in midlife, I am dedicated to providing compassionate care and practical tools to foster resilience and well-being. I hold a Masters degree in clinical psychology and a PhD in health psychology. I am a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
I understand that reaching out for support can be challenging, especially when faced with societal pressures to ‘have it all together’ be the ‘perfect parent’ or meet unrealistic expectations. Whether navigating the transition to parenthood or the journey through perimenopause and menopause, these life stages can feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking. Both bring significant physical and hormonal changes, alongside shifts in roles, identity, and relationships. I strive to provide a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where individuals can share their experiences, reflect on their challenges, and foster personal growth. I believe these times of change, while turbulent, also hold the potential for self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation.
I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR therapy) to address post-traumatic stress related to traumatic events including perinatal trauma, such as birth trauma, loss, premature delivery, or termination.
